can i use a voigtlander 40mm viewfinder to e-p1 as well?
@gallous cheng: I believe that using the 40mm Voightlander viewfinder will work just fine with the EP-1 because the viewfinder holder is a standard flash mount .. at least the viewfinder should mount correctly on the camera. That said, it may not being a perfect view of what your particular lens sees, you’ll have to test it because the 40mm viewfinder was originally designed for another camera body which positioned the viewfinder in a particular place on that camera. As well, the Voightlander 40mm was designed for a 35mm camera, 40mm lens – and your EP-1 would probably need 20mm (or so) lens to be close to the 40mm viewfinder view. I would not buy an external viewfinder with hopes of perfection .. but if you have one, use it and experiment. I love having the 17mm viewfinder on my EP-1 with my 17mm lens (as they were designed to work together) and even that finder is not perfect. I hope this helps, but don’t take my word for it .. experiment.
